The Worst Place I have ever lived at

When I was looking around, I had the misfortune of getting a tour of the place. As we were given a ride to view an apartment I asked what was on the other side of the wall, I was told just abandoned silos. It was only after we moved in did I find out that there was a train track and a factory' The train track is so close to the apartment that the apartment shakes everytime an train goes by. The factory, not sure what it is, starts blaring over the pa system at 6 am.
I was also told that my water and trash bill would be between 18 to 20 dollars a month, have not been close to that since day one.
The vending machines are a joke. The soda machine is always out of soda and you are stuck with one or two selections. The water machine has been replace, however it is down more times than it has been up. Finally, the dryers near us are always down. There are six washers and three working dryers. Two other dryers had a coin slot problem that took your money and did not work. Another dryer has no heating element so your clothes are just as wet as they were 45 minutes earlier. Of course you do not find this out until it has ripped you off you money. The machines have done this 12 TIMES. I have reported it, and never received one refund for my problems. With 6 washers and three dryers, you sometimes have to wait hours for a working machine that does not have clothes in them. I have seen clothes left in the dryers for hours. And lo is the person who takes the clothes out to use the dryer. I had the door left open one time and my clothes thrown on the floor.
This is a "gated community" that is such a joke. The gates are down often so cars are free to come and go. When they are up, cars crowd the entrance so you have no choice but to either park at the front and walk, or let them in. The person gates have no locks what so ever and the back fence has a huge whole in it, making it so secure. One of my neighbors had her motorcycle stolen while the security gates were working. One neighbor was shot in his apartment, had his apartment burned down and his car destroyed while the security gates were working.
The place is so filthy. The sidewalk near our apartment has bird deposits all over it and is only cleaned if it rains.
I have been there two years, have yet to get a key for the pool or the work out facilities. Getting high speed internet in my apartment was a joke as both the cable company and the apartment company argued over who should fix the issue.
The build of this apartment is sub standard. I have never lived in a place that was so hot while running the airconditioner full blast. The closet shelf was broken, the counter had chips, the cabient had holes and the carpet had stains, none of them were ever fixed. We have the carpet cleaner in twice, yet we do not dare white socks in the house. Repairs are done as cheaply as possible and only before someone moves in at the last minute. One of our neighbors told me that the walls and shelves were still wet from the paint job done on their apartment before they moved in. If you call for a repair, be prepared to have them come out several times before it might be fixed.
All and All a horrible experience that. I do not recommend it.
When it came time to renew the rent, they raised it over $120 a month. We finally left. A month later we got a bill for over $200. They wanted us to pay for the painting and carpet cleaning they did. This was after we paid $189 before we moved in to have them paint and clean the carpet. So they double bill you.

this person is winey and doesn't know what they are talking about. I live at Terra Vida and I love it. Get a life and do not complain about bird poop and dryers. clean the poop up by your house and get your own washer an dryer.

this person is correct. it's nasty, the people who live here never clean up after themselves and it's unbelievably loud. we hate it and can't wait for our lease to be up. you get what you pay for. the only good thing is that the girls in the office are very nice.

oops. the apartment staff coveniently forgot to tell us what's on the other side of that wall. oooh! it's train tracks! the trains are so loud, it wakes me up from sleeping. don't worry though, they only come by 8 times a day. this is the worst place i have ever lived. all the "amenities" are broken. hot tubs rarely work. the pool is hardly clean. the staff is rude, so is the maintenance. do yourself a large favor and skip over this place. you'll be glad you did.

Live here a month and youwill have to deal with the criminal activity.Ias a woman came home from work at 11pm. A guy was trying to break into a car and I spooked him.I scraped the side of my car to avoid hitting him as he jumped backwards. I attempted to get out the car as he tried to push me away to steal my car. I was screaming help. clicked my car calling 911 as I was running to my apt. The cops came 30 mins later. He lived underneath me. The cop spoke to him no arrest was made, and was told to contact management.Three months later he was evicted for nonpaymnt of rent. How many cars was vandalized during the three months. The police will even tell you to move. Does that say something?
