This is from a veteran who tried sticking it out and ignoring the bull from Tuscany Palms. Here's my story....
As of January 15th 2007 my life began a new track into the slums of Mesa, AZ. It all started at a place called Tuscany Palms Apartments. We didn't know what we were getting into. The realization started when I saw the forensics van and swat team assembly all in the same week. Then the junk escallated. The grounds crew ignored the landscape. Therefore we ended up with large pools in front of our apartment, which was a breeding ground for mosquitos. For months that summer we were bitten and eaten up, and couldn't even go outside. It got so bad we were eaten up in our own home. Then the cockroaches settled in. I had numerous incidents where I would wake up with roaches on my face and freak out in the middle of the night. Then our a skinny little crackhead girl moved in above us and that began a new chapter. She snuck in dogs all the time and let them ---- all over her house and porch. She'd smoke weed late at night right on her porch. Told rent-a-cops, they just laughed. Boy do I hate noisy neighbors. Finally it came down after my son was born in Sept. 2007, we were driven out of our home by the dumb tweeker upstairs. Her inept boyfriend "fixed" the toilet valve. That morning before work all of a sudden water came pouring out of vents, holes, and everything. The moron upstairs didn't even call anyone to tell that the apartment was flooded. So we paid for it. We notified the apartments, and of course they said they'd take care of it. We were pushed out of our home for 2 days. We returned and the house was moldy and pungent. Everything reeked. Anita(the old manager, who was great) tried to get us accomodated to the max. However, uncaring Bethany Holmes, who if you see their sign in front of any apartment don't go there no matter how nice, said she could only relocate us pay for movers and then lock in our excellent rate for next times renewal. I was naive. So we moved to a new apartment. Nothing changed. More roaches. Cabinets aren't installed right. There has been water damage here before and rigged to work. Pipes aren't fitted right. Kitchen sink isn't secured. Entire dishwasher tips over when both racks come out. Oven is a hazard. Water heater is rigged up to barely work. Did I mention roaches coming out of sockets, rotting wall molding, and well everywhere' Tuscany Palms still ignores. April 16th the renovation for the apartment upstairs began. For the past few days, water has been leaking down from the apartment above causing the carpet to mildew and walls and molding to mildew and rot. I notified Tuscany this morning. My response was a maintainence man telling us he'll just paint over the mildew and the new manager (definitely a corporate boob) trying to push his way around and ignoring the HEALTH HAZARD OF MIDLEW, MOLD, AND FUNGUS. I will admit, he did say I could pick up a Free coupon from the office for a Free Carpet Cleaning. My new neighbors don't speak english and are rude. They play that stupid mexican country circus music with the bass high, bum...bum...bum...bum...bum.bum.bum.ba.bum.bum. Oh by the way for Tuscany Palms watch out. The Department of Health will be contacting you as well as the BBB, FTC, and AZ attorney generals office. Also I'm tired of watching a mexican who speaks english lie to the apartment sales (who know full well whats going on, they just want a sale) and sign for an apartment, and six illegals end up living there. I'm not lying or exaggerating, I have seen it twice. In fact, I help a group of them move! They laughed at the sales people and told me how easy it was to get an apartment here and stay. They don't check homes anymore. Despite the crime, health hazards, constant partying, domestic abuse, cockroaches, bees, feral cats, mexican "ice cream" dealers, overrated snooty office staff, and poor living conditions, Tuscany Palms makes hell look like a nice lazy boy to sit in. HOWEVER, I must give props to the grounds/maintainence guys, Tyrone and the guys, they put up with alot.

As far as the crime being diminished.. the SWAT team was just here!! Had their riot gear snipers and machines guns all pointed at one apt!

We should all get together and bring this up with the so called safety meetings, which no one attends anyway. I am so sick of the illegals that squat here and break every rule and get away with it. I cant wait for our lease to expire in March and then we are out of here.
