It used to be nice, but now they're doing ANYTHING to get ppl (the wrong kind) to move in

Put it this way, if this wasn't in a lower income area, it would be ideal. The middle courtyard is great, rolling hills, bbq pits, volleyball, and the kids are always running around in it playing, it's quite roomy.
they also have pool tables in the clubhouse and the managers are "ok", but you can tell they're in a crunch. I think their latest gimmick is 2 months free move-in, and having met several of the folks that took advantage of it, it's not working like they hoped.
Crime is a severe problem, cars are broken into all the time. A child molester recently got the crap beat out of him by some other people, not sure if they were tenants or not, but he lived facing that courtyard where the children played, if that makes you feel safer. In all honesty it could happen anywhere, but just pointing it out. I was also informed, but unable to find the article, that there was a murder that took place in the bbq pit after a group of native americans got into a spat with another family, there was a machete involved from what I heard and the victim (the one bbq'ing) was either dead or in critical condition.
Cockroaches will run rampant and there's nothing the office will do, they'll bomb once, and leave it alone while they just come back and continue to fester. They used to let you mess with the landscaping in your patio which made it more "homey", but now they're strict about not allowing anything.
It's tucked away on extension and while normally that's nice, in this case it just seems to make it harder for police to make it over. A couple months ago there was an accident on extension right in front of the apts and NOBODY was able to get IN OR OUT of the apts since there is only 1 exit to a mainroad.
Now they're giving discounts and incentives to get people to move in, and the wrong kind of people. 3 on your side has been informed of the problem and while unable to do anything, said they'd keep the complaint in their records in case another comes in.
Used to be a nice place, but now it's a dump. Grounds are nice, but once you move in you see what you're getting yourself into, not much unlike Del coronado apartments, same deal.
Very much not recommended.
