I just by chance checked this site ... it had been a long while. I had written my comments but it got mysteriously erased. Anyway, my main complaint is Jatana "the Manager", she treats people rudely and with NO respect or compassion. I had a comfrontation with her and she was like an enraged Pitbull would not back down ... she would not give me the time to explain and failed to listen to my side of an issue. I had to hang up the phone on her because I started feeling ill ... my right arm stared getting numb ... felt like I was going to have a stroke.

I'm a single middle aged female, and have lived in apts for most of my life here in the valley. I've never had any problems of any type ... I'm quiet and pretty much stay to myself. I have also gotten my deposits back.

One day I happened to be in the office to pay the rent, and an eldery ------- American lady was talking to Jatana before me ... well the elderly lady was trying to ask her questions and it seemed like Jatana couldn't be bothered. After the lady turned around and started to walk off, Jatana rolled her eyes up and shooded her off with her hand. I couldn't believe Jatana's behavior .... very unproffesional and rascist' I'm Latina and was quite offended.

The thing about these apts is that you're not given the phone #, email nothing to get in contact with the Mother Company. You have to go through Jatana to get it ... so what you have is a Dictator who can treat people like crap and get away with it, and run the show as she pleases. Her side kick another lady that worked with her didn't have the best personality also ... very cold.

I didn't know who to turn to or else I would've filed a complain with Equal Opportunity for housing ... HUD'

In the beginning things were cool ... and thought about renewing my lease ... but after taking a closer look I wonder how Jatana still has her job there. Please do not erase my comments because I don't want people of ethnic diversity or the eldery to be treated bad and be stuck in a lease there.

I am confused and shocked by your comments. I actually moved into these apartments because of Jatana. I rented my last apartment from her, then came to these when she became the manager at VLP. I have never sensed any attitude, and especially never saw a hint of what you are calling "racism". I think you should be a little more careful about using someone's name, and your comments above. I would be a little worried about something called "slander". I really dont understand how her actions in the situation you described above could be viewed as "racist". I always veiwed Jatana as being very fair and understanding. However, she also never took any crap from anyone! You pay your rent, you dont cause any problems, and you are not a chronic complainer, you have NO problem. I dont blame them for not giving out the number to the mother company, then every crackpot with ridiculous complaints and comments would constantly be bugging them. I dont know exactly what your situation was with Jatana, but I find it very unfair that you are using her name and posting on the intranet your PERSONAL feelings about her. There may have been a personality conflict, but to throw out that "racist" term is DISGUSTING! Just out of curiosity how many times on a monthly basis do you refer to someone as being "racist"?
