Do not move in here

I've lived here almost a year and can't wait to leave. This was my first apartment and apartments may be ruined for me for life. Honestly one part of the problem is that they do rent to first time renters, including college students like me, and so there is a lot of partying going on around the complex, just to warn those of you who don't want to be around that. Noise complaints don't have any effect.

The walls are so thin and you can hear EVERYTHING. If anyone is talking outside where the doors are you can hear every word they say, especially if it is your bedroom right there by the door. This leads to bad relationships with the neighbors because everyone is always being bothered by everyone else. We live downstairs and we can CONSTANTLY hear the lady above us walking around. The entire ceiling creaks and our glasses rattle in the cupboards when she's above the kitchen. When her grandchildren are around we can hear them running around and its kept us from sleeping many times. Theres just no reason for how poorly these building were designed.
I agree with all the others that nothing ever gets done at this place. Our dishwasher has been on the fritz for a few months but they have never even came by to look at it despite numerous requests for maintenance. Plus the appliances are all ancient and our washer has actually made rust stains on every towel we own and they still havent fixed it.

Don't fall for the whole remodeled thing. My brother just signed a lease for one of those and its not much better. With the exception of new appliances, everything is the same, just literally painted over. The "wood" is this weird rough textures linoleum version and is a pain to clean.

I would not recommend this apartment complex to anyone. The management was good at one point but now they are so wrapped up in all the money they're spending on remodeling that they dont take care of the people they do have living there. There are ALWAYS sprinkler system leaks, so much so that our part of the parking lot has literal puddles of water at night. They just put new rock over the problem, didnt fix it. I just hope I dont end up paying for all the water they are wasting.
I know I'm ranting but I need to get the point across, do NOT move in here unless its for a very short period of time. You are wasting your money. The location and false sense of safety(gates all over the complex are either left open or can be opened with any house key, not just the one to your apartment, its ridiculous) is not even worth it.

They are still remodeling?? It has been over 3 years since I moved out of that place and it sounds like it's even worse than when I lived there. I moved out right after they painted all the buildings those ridiculous colors. I actually paid to break my lease because I hated it there.

Yes, they just remodeled all the apartment interiors, just did a very poor job doing so. Remodeling may take care of the problems with old appliances and crappy carpeting but obviously cannot do anything for the noise or the small size. And the funny thing is that they price went waaay up for the newly remodeled ones, so overpriced crappy apartments are now really overpriced barely tolerable apartments. If you must live here, get an upstairs apartment and cross your fingers that nothing breaks.
