I am currently renting an apartment at this complex. For the most part, the place is good with one exception. And that exception is my downstairs neighbor. This jackass plays his loud bass at all hours. I can hear it over my tv and it rattles my walls. After growing tired of going down and asking him to turn it down, I called the office and informed them of everything. They said they would send him a 10 day cease and desist order and if the noise went on then they'd evict him. Well it kept going on and now they say to call the maintenance line and have them come and listen. Their policy is if they can hear it outside, then it is too loud. Well, it would have to be extremely loud to hear it through the walls, but its never loud enough to hear outside, but it rattles my walls. They still won't do anything about it.

On top of that, the guy smokes about 3-4 packs of cigarettes a day. Like I said earlier, we live above him and you enter our apartment on the bottom floor and go up inside the apartment. The wall in our stairwell is shared between us and him. There is no insulation in this wall and when the guy is in there smoking it up with all his friends our entire apartment wreaks of cigarette smoke. I don't mind the smoke if I'm at a bar, but can't stand it in my dwelling. Again, the apartment managers do NOTHING about it.

Their policy clearly states that when one tenant's actions start affecting other tenants then they are in violation of the policies and further action should be taken. HA! All they care about is that they have somebody in there paying rent. Once they have you in a lease, they care nothing about you. Don't rent an apartment. Pay the extra money for deposits on a house and go that route. As soon as our lease is up we are out of here. Go elsewhere!!!!

You are lucky they did that, find a apartment complex that would kick someone out for smoking in their own home. Remember you live in a apartment.
