My wife and I moved to Tucson almost a year ago and were very pleased to find a Rock Ridge. For the price, it's hard to beat the apartments. The layout in our 2/2 is unique but practical, spacious, and flows very well. (The appliances aren't as old as you'll see in other apartments either - which is a plus). The location in Oro Valley is great. It is a little far to work in the center of Tucson (about 30-45min depending on traffic), but you can't get the mountain views living downtown, and the whole area is very safe. The management is courteous and any service requests are handled promptly. There are two only complaints we really have. The entry leading into the home. It opens to a flight of stairs and is adjacent to the downstairs apartment; sometimes there can be odors coming from the downstairs apartment into the stairwell. I'm not sure what we could do about that though. As well, they charge $20 per month per covered parking spot, and most of them remain empty as the residents take up all the guest spots because they are just as close to the apartments. It would be nice if they at least gave each apartment one, as there are plenty to go around.

Overpriced place, where they charge you for the covered parking-20$/month. They charge you for the water in their own rates even though there is a water meter. The property is not maintained well. The grass is burned and the side walks are not cleaned. The office staff is very nice until they get you with a lease agreement. Noisy and dusty due to the construction on Oracle. The appliances are old except the microwave.The AC is very old and noisy.
