Great now but going downhill

I moved in about a year ago and have been very happy here. The management is terrific; they know my name and take care of any problems (there haven't been many) promptly. The apartments are well-maintained and look nice, and the grounds are kept up very well. The apartment complex is very convenient for commuting since it's just off the Loop 101. Within about a three-mile radius, there are four or five grocery stores, lots of other K-mart-type shopping centers, a library, a mall, and a sports complex. I haven't seen any signs of vandalism or crime, which is rare in a city like Phoenix. Parking is fine if you just have one car. There's covered parking with numbered spaces which they said they were going to assign, but space assignments have never happened. Even so, it's not hard to find a space if you don't get home too late.
Although I've been very comfortable here, the place is going rapidly downhill. A year ago it was a quiet complex where the kids played in the courtyards and the pool and everyone else pretty much minded their own business. Now it's turning into a place where people play stereos in the parking lot, have loud parties that last all night, have their buddies over to drink beer and work on their cars on weekends, and the kids race around unsupervised all over the complex. The management, although they're still great, doesn't really have control over that sort of thing.
Those of us looking for a nice, quiet apartment complex are going to have to look farther north or head over to the nicer parts of town like Scottsdale.
