I didn't have TOO many problems however moving out was quite unpleasant. I bought out of my lease early and was hit with an ADDITIONAL month on top of what I had been informed of because when I moved in- I received one month free. So- they tacked that extra month on top of my termination fee of one month. Not only that BUT- I had been discussing the termination with them for almost 60 days and confirmed the fees...it wasn't until I was ON MY WAY IN to pay did they inform me of the additional month!!
Then on top of this mishap- they are charging me for carpet replacement stating that there were water stains on the carpet padding below the carpet which meant I must have had a pet. Now- being that I didnt have a pet, and the apartment smelled of pet urine when I moved in- this has been a very unpleasant experience. Of course further action will be taken on my part however- be forewarned.

I also got a consession of 1 month free when I signed a 1 year lease. That meant I would receive a months free rent upon completion of my years lease. If I chose to move before the year is out, I would have to pay back any and all consessions given to me on my promise to be there for 1 year. Who could stay in business any other way? You signed a lease, now you have to abide by it. As for your carpet, maybe you had a child in diapers or some other issue you didn't consider. My next door neighbors don't have a pet either, but it's barking keeps me up all the time. The office is trying to help me but, it's next to impossible when the resident continues to deny a dog exists. If you sign a legal paper & don't admit to having a pet, you cannot complain when you get caught with one. We all have to live here, some comply with the rules & some don't. Next time, read the contract before you sign it.

Hey Rusted. I did have a child in diapers and I explained that to them. They assured me the stains deep in the padding were not from a child. Again- funny that my apartment smelled like urine when I moved in dont you think? As for your neighbors non-existent pet, there are many actions that can be taken by your apartment managers... it is whether or not they are willing. Read over your contract and contact the police ;) I truly appreciate your attempt to condescend me however, it sounds like you should be spending your time working out your hostilities with your neighbors rather than accusing me of falsification. Get well soon!
