The apartments are large, very modern, clean, bright and the complex is gorgeous. Neighbors are quiet and the building has many amenities. It's a great place for kids and dogs. Outside, the place is groomed, they spray against bugs every month and its proximity to Bell and main highways are a plus. There are many supermarkets and chain stores in a five minute ride span.
Management responds very quickly to any maintenance issues, although the maintenance staff is obnoxious and nosy. Parking is an issue: they have plenty of spots but most likely your assigned spot will be very far from your apartment (which you regret on shopping days) and there is no way to change them. Even though it is a gated community, the gate is open most of the times and some cars have woken up with broken windows. They even tried to break into my car and it cost me some money to have the door fixed. Not often, but it happens.

The only really bad thing about the place is the monopoly deal they have with Qwest: all telecommunication services have to be hired through Qwest, no freedom of choice. The building regulates internet speed per apartment and some apartments get faster connection than others. We get charged for high speed but get a near to dial up connection speed, so forget about You Tube. Also, Qwest' cable service is really bad and their customer service works only until 6 pm, so no hope to solving your issues after coming back from work. Sounds silly' Try dealing with them once as month, every time your cable or internet goes down (very frequently). If you don't care about technology, the lodge is paradise. Otherwise, you have a little piece of hell coming your way. Maybe throwing stones into the pool will help you vent.

I kind of agree... a little too generous. I had some different experiences with areas you complimented. You may have had quiet neighbors, but they are far and few. We were woken up in the middle of the night on numerous occasions to slamming doors next door to us. It was their front door, and they didn't realize that enclosed stairway to there apartment was right next to our bedroom wall. As far as bugs, they do spray... but that doesn't eliminate the cricket problem. I don't know what it is about that place, but I've lived in 4 different apartments and none have had as bad of a cricket problem as the lodges! We lived on the second floor, not only did we wake up to a pile of dead crickets at the bottom of our stairs, but we had to listen to them all night in the AC vents and patio! Horrible cricket problem! The Lodge is a mix... it's a gamble. You'll either love it or hate it. I had good and bad, take it for what it is. Oh, did I mention that the user pic is mine?? The only thing I miss most!

Nice post - actually you are WAY to GENEROUS! Qwest - thats an understatement - but its not their fault - it's the Lodges - they refuse to allow the equipment to be upgraded - been there - talked to the tech's. See my review "Bada Bing - outta there" the result of the security deposit debacle was my lease copy shows a $500 deposit - theirs mysteriously shows zero - hummmm... both are signed - Guess I should of looked the last time I renewed. People - pass this place up - go up 67th or 59th towards the 101 - lot's better places - and for the people who end up in #1050 - better hope they replaced the carpet they nailed me $70 to clean - it's 7 years old and it will make you sick if its the old stuff.
