Years at this apartment: 2008-01-01 - 2009-01-01

I have lived on site for 11 months.
I was planning on renewing for another 12 months because of the little amount of issues I've had.
I'm extremely easy going and when things like not getting cold water, half of my apartment's electricity going out, being accused of being the tennant that played their music all night every night, having lights burn out within 1 month of moving in, and having the springs in both of my windows go out to where I couldn't close them (On a Friday afternoon, where they disputed the fact that it wasn't an emergency and didn't send someone to fix it until Monday) I didn't really say much.
I haven't had cold water for 4 months and they tell me it's because it's summer.
This last week threw me over the edge.
At Tuscany, every apartment is equipped with a chime system.
If you have a landline you can have an active security system.
Otherwise it just chimes when doors/windows are opened/closed.
On Friday I came home from work and around 3 pm the chime started beeping incessantly.
I wasn't opening doors or windows.
I called down to the leasing office knowing I couldn't sleep with that and was again met with the fact that it wasn't an emergency and that no one would be able to come out until friday.
Having a loud chime go off every 30 seconds is just enough to drive me insane.
There was no way I could sleep there.
Not only that, but I have a pet and it barked every time the chime went off.
The girl in the office apologized but advised she could only call to see if someone knew a code to shut it down temporarily until they could check it out on Monday.
She only offered this after I told her that her apology and lack of solutions was unacceptable because I wouldn't be able to use my living space for 3 entire nights.
She offered to call me back by 5, which came and went with no call back.
I went into the leasing office first thing on Monday and spoke with, what they call a supervisor.
Again I was met with the fact that it wasn't an emergency and they would fix it when they could.
After relaying my issue, the only thing she said to me was, "Out of this whole situation, the only thing I can say I'm sorry for is the lack of follow-up that was promised and I will talk to her about that." Not acknowledging the fact that I had to pack my ---- and was forced to leave for the weekend.
I would rather move back in with my parents than ever live at Tuscany again.
The office girls are less than professional and have been rude ever since I moved in.
Being younger, I have tons of friends that are looking to lease and Tuscany will NEVER be a property I will refer my friends to.
I am so glad my lease will be up in less than 30 days.
I'm moving out mid month just to leave.
F them.

I had the same thing happen where the alarm kept beeping when the backup battery died. I put in a request and the next day they replaced it. In the mean time all I had to do was turn the alarm on and then off and it stops the beeping for 24 hours. I slept just fine and didnt have to move out for the weekend. You can also turn the door chime off so it doesnt chime when you open the door. RTFM (Read the #@$%ing manual). If you think your door alarm chiming is an emergency repair I hope to god I never live near you...
I have never had an issue with my windows or cold water. I personaly dont like the taste of the Peoria water system so I buy bottled water or use a filter though...
I have also never had any issues with the electricity... If you have you might want to make sure you dont have too much being pulled from one circuit.

Tuscany is a great place to live, just because you are dumb person and expect everyone to cater to your every need does not mean you write a negative report about a great place, Grow up or Move Out!

Not to kick a dead horse but the water system source is actually NOT Peoria Municiple but, in fact, belongs to New River in that part of town. Doesn't matter. "Cold" water for the 4-5 months out of the year ain't happenin'.

I have lived at Tuscany for 11 months and its been pretty chill. I will agree with the windows complaint, both my Kitchen and bedroom window werent working properly when I did my 1st walk through (which I told them about) and they never fixed it, about 2 mo ago they both broke completley and are stuck in the closed position, still no big deal really, I hardly use them anyway. About 2 weeks ago when it was raining really bad, my Bedroom sprung some pretty nasty leaks, one was right through the ceiling fan which exploded the light bulb and blew broken glass all over the room in the middle of the night. also some seepage right over my bed which saturated it about 30%. I had pots and garbage cans strune about the room collecting drips,The repair guys came and popped a hole in the roof to let it leak in one spot the day the leak started. they patched it up about a week later, but the ceiling fan looks untouched, so I'm sure it might leak again someday. Inconveniences, yes. but my overall experiance has been okay, nothing to rant and rave about.
My lease is up in march and I do Like it here, but with so so so many other fantastic deals on apartments / condos, even renting a house, Tuscany is going to need to come up with some better incentives other then 2mo free rent for a 12mo lease if they want keep tenants there! I've only been looking around for a week and already found at least a dozen different places around the valley offering bigger places for less then I'm paying now. We shall see

Anyone who thinks the person who posted this is and idiot, jackass, or that they need to grow up should really STFU. If your paying six or seven hundred dollars a month you should get impeccable service that is part of what your rent goes towards, paying the ------- in the from office and the maintenance teams. If something is broken in the apt. it should be fixed. Just because you have such low expectations and respect for yourself or the space you live in doesn't make them the idiot.
