Scorpions for roomates.. BEWARE!

In the last 5 weeks, we have seen 12 scorpions in out apartment! We also tried sealing, spraying, dusting, scorpion traps, everything! They are infested.
The staff says, "It's part of living in AZ" but that is not true, I've lived in AZ for 15 years and have seen one scorpion in those 15 years, and that was while on a hike! Also, they say it's common for Ahwatukee...
We have friends that live on the mountain and they don't have problems at all.
There is nothing they can do to get rid of them, if you decide not to heed my warning, just make sure you have plenty of black lights on hand (they glow green) and don't mind sharing your bed and home with these creatures.
Also, office staff not exactly friendly.
Santana is the only nice one.
Gates onto site are ALWAYS broken.

Have things gotten any better with the scorpions?
Anyone else have a good experience at Andante? I am relocating and trying to find a great apartment with a friendly atmosphere.
I have also heard there are several police officers who live in the complex (good thing). Also that many who are attending the police academy at AZPOST at South Mountain live here given its location.
