I lived at Arcadia Cove from September of 2006 to October of 2007 and I had an extremely positive experience living there. I was initially attracted by the looks of the apartments and the amount and quality of amenities for the price in the Central Phoenix area. The staff were very nice and professional throughout the entire time I lived there (yes, even after I signed the lease). I had some difficulty initially with my roommate who had to break her lease after a month. The apartment staff were very helpful and one gave me the name and phone number of another tenant who was in the same situation and was looking for a roommate. I eventually found a roommate and continued living in the 2 bedroom before transferring to a 1 bedroom after my roommate got married. Before I moved into the 1 bedroom, they put in brand new carpet which I was really excited about. The maintenance staff were also very professional and fixed any problems in a decent amount of time. There were little problems that I encountered, but they were outweighed by the positive qualities of my experience. In the 1 bedroom, I occasionally heard my upstairs neighbor walking around. I didn't experience any other noises. The fitness room was a nice touch and I cancelled my gym membership because it had everything I needed. I never had a reason to feel unsafe because nothing bad ever happened, but I was always on guard. I am a female in my mid-twenties and I had a dog and took her outside late in the evening everyday. One thing I didn t like was the police helicopters that often circled the area shining their spotlights. It did make me a little nervous since Central Phoenix is not the greatest area, (when compared to Ahwatukee or Gilbert) but it s definitely not like South Phoenix. I probably wouldn t have moved to that area unless my job was nearby because I prefer the East Valley, but the commute was nice. There are always going to be things you don't like about living in apartments because they are not as private as houses. You are going to hear occasional noises from your neighbors and there are always going to be people around using the amenities and such. And of course, everyone has different experiences, but overall mine was pretty good. Would I recommend Arcadia Cove to other people' Yes. Would I ever live there again' Probably Not.
