UGH! Just THINKING about my old living situation here creeps me out! I had the worst scorpion problem! AND i lived on the second floor and it was still bad. I am CONVINCED that those little disgusting dangerous scary bugs live in the walls. I literally started noticing the scorpion problem within the first week i was there. i asked the management and they said it wasn't a big deal and they would have someone spray. When the person came to spray, they sprayed for roaches, not scorpions and i had to wait another week for them to bomb my apt. for them because they couldn't mix the two sprays. After having my apartment spray several times, and still getting no results, except MORE scorpions, I tried to take matters into my own hands. My mom went to home depot and bought weather striping to try to help seal the doors, where we thought they were coming from, and also scorpion spray and scorpion traps! I guess it helped a tiny little bit...but only because i bought enough scorpion traps to set the up side by side all the way across the floor in front of the front door, the patio doors, by bedroom door, and my bathroom door. I caught SO many scorpions in the traps, but there were still a lot coming from the vents and the sinks, and i couldn't catch those. I live in complete fear for 5 months. EVERY single night that I actually slept there (i was so terrified i slept and my friends' and parents house a lot) I would pull of all of the sheets and blankets off of my bed and shake everything out. Since scorpions are nocturnal I lost the ability to sleep at night. I would literally sit in the middle of my bed until the sun came up and then go to my parents to sleep. I wore flip flops all around the apt. cause i was so scared i would step on one. I kept my clothes in sealed tight totes and not drawers or the closet because I found a few in my clothes. I collected the scorpion traps and took it and put it on the managers desk tried to get out of my lease a month before it was up but the management wouldn't let me out of it. These apartments have been on the news for there scorpion problem for 3 tv on your side. DO NOT LIVE HERE! Seriously...this is just one thing among LOTS of things! It's a scary place to live, it's not gated, it;s super shady. It used to be a landfil and that is why there are so many scoprions. They lived in the landfill, and the apts. were built right on top of them. Scorpions are extremely territorial. They can spray all they want, that has always been there home and they aren't going to leave.
