This place has its ups and downs. I moved in in Sept. of 04 and was gone by Jan. 05. There were two shooting in the little time I was there and had a tweeker kick in my door at 3:00 am while I was home. They let me move out and told me move out would be $800. After moving out they billed me 1600. After refusing to pay they agreed on 800 again but turned me into collections for 1200. The manager told me it was her fault and they would except 800 but would not talk to the collection company. Now no one there or their corprat office will return calls. THIS PLACE SUCKS! BUYER BEWARE....

I lived at Avalon for 3 years. I wasn't aware of any shootings, but that doesn't mean it didn't happen. There were definitely areas in Avalon where things were happening. Although I wouldn't refer this complex to anyone, it wasn't all bad. I did however have my car broken into 2 years ago and then 2 months ago it was stolen. So, it may not be THE worst place to live, but for the price they charge it certainly could have been better!
