I would caution people when looking at renting at this complex. Some of the other commenters have great things to say regarding the management. And I partially agree, they are nice to speak to, awesome at leasing process, but there is more to management than a smiling face. they go through spurts of inforcing strict codes and lagging on them (esp when the owner visits as I am told by the office staff), the management of maintenace is horrible. The workers seem to be WAY understaffed as they complete things as quick as possible even if the quality is poor. I would do a lousy job too if I had 20 different apartments to fix everyday. Everything in the complex is old and falling apart, and we settled for that bc of the incredibly cheap rent. Now when i have an 750 sq ft apt that costs 250/month in electricity, has super old appliances, AC units that break on a routine basis, a high crime rate(our car was stolen 3 times in three months-costing thousands in repair), amenities that are unable to be used for one reason or another etc etc etc AND they try to increase my rent by nearly 100/month at renewal, that is completely unacceptable. Unfortunately there is really nothing I can do about it other than post a disapproval comment and move else where. Please be cautious if thinking about renting here, its not as nice as it looks on the outside.

I am a resident at Avalon Hills as well. We have lived there for 3 years, and completely agree with this review. Since this new ownership, we have put in 6 work orders. Each we had to call about over and over asking when someone would be out to fix them. One was for a broken shower. The shower only worked, and not the bath faucet. The other issue is the sink constantly dripping.. not just a small drip. We called on this issue alone 4 times. They came out to fix it and the repair was not even done correctly, and again we put in a work order. After 8 days of calling and waiting, we had a friend come out and fix it. The bath still does not work. They replaced the blinds in the front room incorrectly, I pulled on them to open them and it snapped in the corner. Again I called on this same work order for 8 days, it was on the same work order as the sink. What the person wrote about above is all true. The dumpsters are overpiled with garbage, constantly falling out. The workers are constantly parking in our parking spot, and then when we take an available one the office comes knocking on our door saying we need to move it or it will be towed. Another issue is the roof, when it rains it leaks in. The laundry room near us was open when we first moved in, and now then they made it only for disabled, which I honestly have not seen one person use it since they locked it and made this change. We have to drive all the way to the other side in order to do laundry. Before leasing or buying, please take my advice.. look elsewhere for people that really care about their residents. This establishment does not. Also take a look at the pool and spa, it's 90 percent of the time to dirty to use, and the spa is almost 100 percent of the time closed. And also look at the washer and dryers.
