I moved to Phoenix about 5 years ago and have been at Avalon Hills for about a year. I've read the reviews on this website and it seems to be either good or bad... nothing between.
It seems, to myself, obvious that those with bad reviews are those leaving because management is not allowing them to stay, which are those who are not good neighbors.
I am happy here and happy to see the improvements. The property continues to look better and better. The landscaping looks good. The entire property has been re-roofed and painted.
If anyone from the Avalon Hills staff sees this, then, thank you for all your hard work and I look forward to my lease renewal!

In response to this review. My sister and I lived at Avalon Hills for 3 years. We were very quiet neighbors and not once did other neighbors have to complain about noise level. We kept our place well tended and were very good neighbors. I agree some of the tenants were not the best and it was better to be rid of them, but there were those like us who were making an honest living, trying to do the best we could and yet were treated the way we were. The improvements were only on the surface, as I still believe the apartment complex needs much improvement with the staff. True, it wasn't a terrible place to live, and since my sister and I kept to ourselves mostly we might not have noticed all the problems the complex had and that's why we stayed so long. But the last few months, since the new management took over have been a nightmare within themselves. I'm glad this person is happy, and more power to them. But I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.
