I have been a resident at Avante Apartments for 4 years now, and have found the staff to range from okay to excellent. Yes, I agree that in the summer time the crickets can be a nuisance, but the apartments offer a free weekly service to have my apartment sprayed for the crickets to maintain the problem. Each time I have requested this service I have spoken with Sonia or Maria, and the both of them have always been more than courteous to me and my wife. Each year upon renewing our lease agreement, we have been treated with dignity and respect, although I have seen other residents inside the office giving the girls a very hard time and I wonder myself how they can remain professional when you have someone yelling and screaming at them. Yes the management has certain responsibilities to us residents, but come on, it's not their fault that someones car was broken into, it happens in Scottsdale also. Which brings me to the new Manager of Avante. She seems to be running the place by the book. At first I was a little concerned about signing all the new rules and regulations, and come on the fines. But after witnessing how many times the front gates have been damaged, and cars being taken from the parking lot. This is actually a really good idea. At times I have come home from work late at night, and someone has almost hit my vehicle trying to get past me inside the property without using a gate card. The new management has someone watching over the front gates to prevent this and bring some order to the community. Because of my financial situation, I really need to stay on this side of town for now, I have looked around at other apartments, these are the nicest I have seen. I say go Management, and if residents dont have anything to nice to say about the office staff or the management, maybe they should take a look at themselves and see if maybe they could have made a difference with the experience they had by changing their own attitudes. I plan to continue to live at Avante for a couple more years and then retire in Florida. I feel safe here, and the property is beautiful.
