This place is the epitomy of what you don't want in rental living. I will list a small number of things that stand out in my last 11 years at C.C.V. 1. Maintenance workers entering units without permission, or,notification. Then stealing intimate personal items (other than underware).2. Maintenance not being performed in a timely manner. Ceiling falling down from upstairs water leak, not repaired for seven months. Master bath rendered un-usable. 3. Air conditioning units that are over 30 years old. Repairs taking up to 5 days in the middle of the summer. APS bills that are 3 times as high as they should be. 4. cable connections never repaired. Only one access point for the whole unit. They say it's cox responsibility, cox say's it's CCV's responsibility. 5. Management and staff changes monthly. They lose files, change stories, and don't know what each other have said to the residents. They come in late. take 2 hour lunches, and, leave early.6. Don't drink the tap water. The water system is 2" pvc that is barely underground. In the summer it tastes like pond water because it has algae growing in it. 6. If you are an illegal immigrant this is the place for you. Some units have as many as thirty people arriving nightly with there bed rolls. The easiest way to measure the quantity of transients here is how overflowing the dumpsters are, or the lack of uncovered parking spaces. 7 Be a gun owner. The security is non existant. cars are stolen all the time. home invasions happen yearly. I personally have been burglarized twice. Had a car broken into,and personally, stopped a car thief. 8.The complex doesn't pay there bills. They are on a cash basis with all of there creditors. If you need something replaced, like an ac unit, forget it. You will have to pay for it yourself and take it off your rent. Be sure to tip the maintenance worker or you'll never get timely help. For an example of the lack of funding take a look at all the concrete walls that are knocked down. most have been broken for over two years. Southeast entrance, southwest aisle retaining wall, northwest dumpster wall (this one is just waiting to fall on a small child). 9.Like to swim' Don't worry about sun block, there is a constant oil slick on both pools all season. Oh, don't forget to take your antibiotics!!! 9. Laundry' eww. The laundry for the north west corner has not has hot water for seven years. They are unsecured and I have seen washers that have been urinated in. eww 10. Oh, I forgot about the randon gunfire. If you like to guess what the round is and how many shots were fired this is your kinda place. (ie.you just might be a redneck). I never realized automatic weapons were so prevalent in North phoenix! We had AK fire on grovers. 9mil fire on 9th st. Shotguns in the park (sounds like a song title). 38"s at the community center. Guns drawn multiple time in the complex.
