Our family has lived in this apartment complex for four years, and getting ready to sign a lease to take us into year #5. We have witnessed all of the changes since our arrival in 2003 and let me just say this- it is ALWAYS getting better!
Let me explain:
In 2003, there was indeed lots of gang activity and drug and shady goings on in the complex. Since then, the various owners and management companies have worked tirelessly to improve the quality of life around here. We have a top notch security team on weekends that are also on-call during weeknights. Thurough backround checks are given to prospective residents and as far as I have seen there is a zero tolerance policy when it comes to the already in who go on to commit crimes and such. Granted, there are car burglaries but that happens nearly everywhere these days..you just need to remember to lock your car doors ALL THE TIME and get yourself a good alarm and steering wheel lock.
As far as the kids go- there is a $100 fee for not supervising your kids and for any damage to your property they do. If you just report the annoying ones it'll be taken care of.
The staff is excellent and so is maintence!! Everything gets fixed if you just report it..sometimes it'll take a few days because they do get busy, but that is because they do a a good job that might take longer but it gets done, and done right. Personally I dont mind waiting a day or two when it gets really busy like that because I know I'm getting quality work!
That apartments are really nice too! Granted the "Upgraded" ones are a bit pricey but they are BEAUTIFUL- faux brick floors, new carpets, aplliances, fixtures, etc. VERY nice. They dont have washers and dryers but that's the only downside. The Basic apts are great too =) And OMIG you just cannot beat the location!
I would reccomend a zillion times over..It's a great place to live!
