Management kept me away

While apartment hunting, I found Cedar Ridge on random and decided to check it out because I liked how the front office was just -right there- for some reason.

The woman in the office wasn't very informative, actually, she was the least informative person I had talked with that day.

When I asked to look at a one bedroom and studio apartment, I was prepared to give her my ID (like I had been doing all day) but she never asked and that made me feel instantly uneasy.

She then mentioned that she had to get to the bank and the trip to the apartment (which was on the other side of the complex) was a quiet one.

When we arrived at the Studio apartment, I wasn't pleased.

The front doors looked worn down and looked as if they had been kicked numerously.

The paint was chipping from the bottom and the wood could be seen.

Inside, the appliances looked as if they were from the 60's.

I'm very observant in saving energy so I asked how old the appliances were but she replied that she had no clue.

When I couldn't find the light for the closet in the bathroom, I left that studio room mainly because it felt like she was irritated.

The one bedroom apartment she showed me was slightly better.

I actually was considering that room until I noticed that the mirror to the closet in the bedroom was broken on the bottom.

No biggie.

Then I opened the closet and I was faced with a concrete wall.

It looked unappealing and reminded me of a basement.

The water heater was also placed at the end of the closet.

I asked her if the dish washer actually worked (because mine in my apartment leaves sand everywhere and doesn't clean anything properly) and she said yes.

When I mentioned that mine didn't work, she sounded offended and stated that they replace appliances that didn't work.

To be frank, I don't like the layout of the apartment complex.

It looks dull (both the buildings and the landscaping) and I don't really trust management if they don't ask me for my ID when I want to see the rooms.

My impression on this complex was poor so I'll be avoiding it.
