... to leave!!!!! i recently left this dump. luxury my eye! there is nothing luxurious about this place! you can hear everything darn thing your neighbors do in their home. so noise is a big issue here. not to mention the fact that managment does very little to resolve noise complaints. so,if you like frat house living this is the place for you!
as a woman, i never felt safe here. the security gates are always left open or broken and my neighbors never closed the gargage doors. many nights i had to come home to an already open garage door - wondering if someone was in there hiding behind one of the cars. plenty of nights i have seen shady looking characters roaming around the property.
a new management team took over and i really don't trust them. no one seems to know who they are and they won't tell you anything about where they came from. and the new guy gives me the creeps.
one reason i decided to leave is because of the rent increase (which i don't feel this place is worth it) there are a lot nicer places to live in phoenix for what the new management team wants to charge for these old outdated apts. before i left management sent out a letter saying we are no longer going to have to pay for water! well, that because they are JACKING UP THE RENT, DUH! please, do they think we are stupid'
heres some advice: stay away from the corner apts, the apts by the pool, and the ones over the garage. the apts over the garage face the garbage cans and when you open your windows - guess what you smell' those apts also get hot as heck in the summer. the corner apts are poorly insulated and also get hot as the dickens in the summer, which means you have to crank your ac up to cool off. the apts by the pool are noisy because people sit out there all hours of the night partying like rock stars - yelling and screaming at the top of the lungs @ 1, 2, 3, and 4 am! whoever designed this place was on drugs! I agree that the insulation is poor, and that sound and energy efficiency is an issue. I also agree that one has to be careful about getting a place that faces the pool.
There are probably only 10 units or so that are above garages, and only TWO of them are above garbage dumpsters (there are only three dumpsters on the complex). I would think that hearing garages open and close would be more of an issue with these particular units.

*** I couldn't agree with you more. But, even though there are only 2 units that are right next to garbage dumpsters, there are units across from those dumpsters, and depending on the direction the wind is blowing, you are going to get a very fowl order blowing through your window.
