From: ediary Date posted: 4/20/2008 Years at this apartment: 2003 - 2008   The previous review was written by a Clarendon Park Staff member, and based on its sloppy sentence structure, and the desperate sales pitch, I can safely conclude that it was written by a well known pathological liar - often referred to as... the "Investment Manager"! So, let me share the truth with our readers... 1. The appliances in these apartments are far from new, and often breakdown. Getting a maintenance service request completed at Clarendon Park, is like waiting for the troops to come home, or gas prices to fall to $1.50 per gallon! 2. Parking sucks! On the weekends, when most people entertain, there aren't enough guest parking spots. So, your guests are routinely forced to park on dark and dangerous side streets. And to add insult to injury, the shared garages are routinely left WIDE open by inconsiderate neighbors. Think I'm lying' Then check out the pictures someone uploaded. Furthermore, when you voice your concerns to management about this safety issue, you are repeatedly lied to and ignored. By the way, don't be fooled if the garage doors are closed when you come to view the apartments. Management closes them during the day, so that perspective tenants aren't tipped off to what it's really like to park your car in one of their garages. 3. The fitness center is a joke. The treadmill is old and frequently malfunctions. And when it does breaks down, and it often does, it takes management forever and 6 months to fix it! How would you like a nasty skin infection'! I'm asking this question because the gym equipment is never properly cleaned, and when it is --- the alleged, illegal immigrants, management hired to "fake-clean", use filthy rags to smear the leftover sweat and germs left on the equipment! The same rags they use to wipe down the toilets in the clubhouse! How do I know' I've seen it with my own eyes! 4. The walls here are incredibly thin! It's like having a ripped up, k-mart sheet between you and your neighbors - for privacy! You can hear everything: people showering, using the toilet, having sex, fighting, loud music, and a host of other things that are sure to keep you form enjoying a moments peace! So, if you are a light sleeper or enjoy peace and quiet ----- DON'T MOVE HERE! YOU WILL REGRET IT! One other related caveat: The property manager is a tattooed party animal, who frequently sides with the tenants who disturb the peace! Now... I'd like to point out how I REALLY know the previous review was written by a Clarendon park staff member. Direct quote from -Anonymous- posted on 4/20/2008: "I never had an issue with rent or fees-I would suggest the other people who have had issues with online payments to just write a check and pay on the 1st of the month like everyone else." None of the reviews posted about Clarendon Park, mention any issues with rental payments, (late) fees, or online rental payments. In order for Ms. Anonymous to know about these issues, she'd have to work in the leasing office. ;-)
