Let me start off by saying that I have been a resident of Clarendon Park for over 2 years. When I first moved in Clarendon Park was a very nice place to live. Over the past year and a half this establishment has gone through 2 different owners. And let me tell you that everything has gone downhill ever since then.

So let me begin my list of why I hate Clarendon Park

1. The Parking... As a resident of Clarendon Park, you would think that you would always be assured of a parking spot. Not so at Clarendon Park. They let whoever, and whomever park wherever they want. There are abandoned cars with flat tires and spiderwebs all over them. So if you are a resident and require a spot you are forced to deal with your neighbors guests taking them or them being used by junkyard cars. And dont be fooled by the so called luxury of having a garage. Whoever designed this place must have been on crack. If you have a garage you are forced to share it with another resident. So if the other resident is not competent enough to close the garage door, that you share; your vehicle is subject to theft and damage.

2. Noise... Let me tell you about the noise. If you want peace and quiet, do not move to Clarendon Park. In the lease it clearly states Pool Hours are from 10am to 10pm. But guess what''' When someone violates the policy, who are you going to call' How about nobody because the managment has not provided anyone for you to call. If you live anywhere near the pool you will regret it. People are yelling and screaming in the pool at all hours of the night. Let me also mention, the irresponsible parents who let there kids come to the pool by themselves. Also a violation of the lease that is not enforced.

3. Grounds... Hmm well if you like to step in dog ---- and garbage you will feel right at home at Clarendon Park. It seems that dog owners feel that it is there right to let their dogs ---- all over the grounds and the management does nothing about it. There are beer bottles and cigarette butts all over the pool grounds. Oh and if you are so inclined to use the pool choose wisely. It has been shut down at least 4 times within the past two months for violations, and I have personally seen feces (human or pet i dont know) floating in the pool.

And now for the State of the Union Address... Clarendon Park has lost a lot. And I mean a lot of tenants over the past year and a half. So guess what the remedy is. Lets lower the rent by 200 dollars a month and bring in all the undesirable people we can. So this is the Clarendon Park of today. Oh yes, we may be at full capacity and you wont be able to get a parking space, but at least the management can say they are full. So this is the Clarendon Park I once loved, but now hate. It used to be a place full of nice people. Now it is a place full of drug dealers, and stupid uneducated people who let there kids rollerblade through the parking lot and dent your car doors. I am telling you to stay away. This is the Clarendon Slum...

I moved here in May, and it seemed like a nice place. After visiting about 35 apartment complexes in downtown/central Phoenix, it was the best I could afford while not being afraid for my life. Although my apartment itself is nice, I hate it here. Never once have I spoken to a friendly neighbor, although I've certainly tried. I signed a year-long lease and am starting to regret it. The pool is filthy. My neighbors play loud music. People downstairs are parking their cars on the street and climbing over the balcony to get in, rather than going through the locked gate. And the gate? I've seen it left open for hours, sometimes days. I chose the Clarendon Park Apartments because of the location and relative safety. If things don't improve soon, I'm going to try to get out of my lease...
