Yo!

Much to complain about!

When I rented my apartment in June, 05, I did a walk through and the apartment was a mess; nail holes in the walls, broken blinds, pubic hairs in the bathtub, pieces of food on the microwave tray, soap scum on the shower walls, the kitchen counters were dirty, a couple of bugs on the floor(some dead, and some alive). I was told by the leasing agent that it would all be cleaned. I went out of town for a month, since I have summers off due to being a teacher, and when I returned, nothing had been cleaned. Needless to say I was upset. I informed the management and she told me that the apartment had been cleaned while I was gone. I found out that the manager's manager was in the office so I went down to explain to her about the problem. She explained to me that those problems could have happened by themself while I was on vacation. (Ya, right, holes in the walls, etc')I invited her to come view my apartment and she refused. I informed her I was going to the rental board in regards to the "Landlord and Tenant Act" and take the property management company to court. She responded by saying I was going to spend a lot of money in court.
I got back to my apartment and after about an hour the manager came to my apartment with the maintenance supervisor to view the problems. That day the manager sent up a cleaning person.
The cleaning part did get taken care of and I do have to let you know that the manager did call me afterwards to ask if I was satisfied. She was pleasant. I told her there was still a couple of things that hadn't been taken care of yet and she stated she would put work orders in. It has been a week and I am still waiting.
Two mornings after I starting living there I was awaken to the sound of commercial lawn mors at six in the morning on a week day. The same thing happened the next morning. I realize it gets hot here in Phoenix however it is apparent to me the management could care less if the residences are waken up so early. I spoke to another renter and was told one really has to push to get the management to do anything. The property is pretty, however the management seems to not care too much about its occupants, as displayed by the examples above..........
