Well for me being one 9 out of 10 people that move into the valley from out of state, I am not compaling about the Desert Homes Apartment complex. I would say some of appliances could use a update, but they work great, so I am not going to dwell on that. Once in a while you might hear some noise outside, but like all apartment complexes that will happen...like all community like living. Also in Phoenix, you just need to used to Helicopters flying over, they will be everywhere. There doesn't seem to be bad parking as long as you have one car. I could see how you might have a problem with 2 cars, but I haven't heard to many complaints. I know it is safe hear from seeing the kids running around and the cars do not speed through out the complex like other complexes that I have been too. The price is so much lower then what it should be conisdering that fact you are nice and close to shopping and highways. The traffic on Bell and 7th can be a bit of pain, but you will et used to it. The security of the place isn't too bad, it is needed in Phoenix and I have seen secutiry stop many 'bad' people from coming on the property before. Plus they do care about the people here. The construction of the place isn't too bad, you won't hear your neighbors unless they are really screaming or a , the windows could use a replacement to keep out noise, some of the kitchen fixtures are alittle outdated but work fine, and the air conditioning is cold. There a ton storage space in the apartment and I only live in a 1 room apartment, there is great policy with only breed restrictions and wheight limit of 50 lbs. Staff is friendly and kind. Nice place to live.
