Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2006
In the past eight months I have seen three rent increases, three flat tires, fixed one broken car window, and lived ith a broken kitchen sink for a week! The rent increased $250 within a matter of a year. There has not been any property imorovement to justify the increse. The property changed owners and the rent increased without any notice to the residents. A week before our lease came due we hade to call to setup a new lease, at that time they told us that the monthly rent is $250 more per month. Mind you this was three days before the lease was up, giving us no time to look for another apartment. We had to fight to keep the rent the same.
The three flat tires.....the parking lot is very dirty!! There is always glass, screws, and garbage all over the parking lot. If a window needs to be replaced on a apartment the broken glass is changed in the parking lot. Several times walking out to my car I haved stopped to pickup screws and nails. As for the garbage all over this is a every day thing. Trash is picked up once a day except the weekends, the truck driver and residents leave the garbage all over. So if you don't mind smelling and looking at garbage every time you go to your car, this is the place for you.
Speaking about smelling....a maintence request takes about four to five days to be completed, that is why I had to smell my kitchen sink for a week.
The one thing that pushed me over the edge was walking out to my car and seeing a broken window. This complex has a security staff that works over night. I think that they sleep all night. I have only seen them once in the four months they have been working. If they had a greater presence the vandalism my not have happened.
So if you love unexpected costly problems this is the place for you!
