I lived here from 2004-2005 (when it was called Northridge and it wasnt cheap either. We paid $700 for a 2 bed apartment then) and we particularly asked the manager if there was an issue with bugs and she flat out said "no". So we move in happily and my first week...i walk (barefeet) towards my fridge to get a drink at 4 am and something touches my foot. I didnt have my glasses on so I went back to the bedroom, put my glasses on and came back to the kitchen. Holy ----! A huge bark scorpion. I seriously started shaking.It didnt sting me for some reason. Long story short, we found at least 3 scorpions a week and we lived UPSTAIRS. Our downstairs neighbors said they found 3-5 EVERY day. The office manager kept refusing that the apartments were infested. I was glad when my lease was up. I didnt have even one peaceful night at these apartments because I was always afraid that a scorpion is going to fall on me from the ceiling in my sleep.
