* But this exactly what they tried to do here at Greenspoint. This place is nothing special. It's like every other earth toned apartment community in this area. Now, where my real complaint is the courtesy and customer service or lack there of at Greenspoint. We went to put our 30 day notice in and were told that its actually 60 now. Apparently, when we renewed our lease they had a policy change to 60 day notice from 30. Of course we missed this since the leasing consultant told us "nothing has changed just sign here". Taking her word for it we did. When we plead our case we were told "you signed a legal document did you not" with a rude and snotty tone.
As for noise. This place is build with rice paper. No insulation, I mean I know this is community living, but you can hear your neighbors phone ring, stomping, walking, toilet flush, TV, everything.
Another time there was this unbelievable chemical smell coming from our bathroom that soon filled the apartment and gave us terrible headaches. We called the office to complain and we were told that maintenance would call us back. We finally got someone to walk over and immediately they were able to tell us that they were resurfacing a neighboring tub. The VOC fume level was unreal. We were told it will be fine and you may just have a headache for awhile, as if that's acceptable. Would have been nice if they would have at least left a letter telling the neighboring apartments that you are going to be inconvenienced with headaches for the day.
Front staff sucks. They do not return calls and really don't care about you. They are short, rude, dismissive, and always seem bothered when you walk in.
