I lived at Harbor Ridge apartments for 5 years and this place was cockroach heaven. The management are complete morons and the office manager is an uneducated woman that really believes she has a Masters degree. The bug situation was so bad I couldn't keep ANY of my dishes in the cabinets because when I wouls reach for a glass and open the cabinet door there would be roaches crawling all over them. I asked them to replace my carpet the very first month I moved in with my daughter and husband ( I was also pregnant and due very soon). They wouldn't it smelled and we found a tick crawling on it. I asked them to change it every 6 months and they never did. Always promising they would get it approved by the owner. The dishwasher never worked and they refused to fix it because it wasn't a nessecary appliance and all it did was waste water. That's the answer I received from the office manager.The parking was an absolute nightmare. You are asigned to one covered parking and there was only a few of those so if you had more than one car you were S.O.L. You technically didn't really have a parking spot because someone was always in it. You would call and try to get it towed but by the time someone did anything about it they were gone or you had to go to bed because of how late it was getting. The people that lived there were either prostitutes, dug addicts, or illegals. I swear I was on a first name basis with the Phoenix police because I was calling on a weekly basis. I would have non-english speaking men urinating in front of my daughters bedroom window or even in front of me if I was walkig outside at night for something. I have witnessed fights that occured there, stereos blasting with Mexican music at 3:00 AM. I would complain and nothing would be done. They would be out there drinking and throwing their beer bottles in the parking lot and glass would be everywhere the next day. I would call the office to have them clean it up and it would be there for a few days. Don't get me wrong I am married to a mexican but these people did not care about the safety and well being of their residents or the children in the area. I did not feel safe having my kids play outside. We would hear gunshots ALL the time, screaming and yelling. It was very scary! Thankfully we were at the end of our lease and moved out. I would NEVER rreccomend living here no matter how bad someone needed ap place to live. I would have lived in my car!!!!
