It's over 100 degrees outside, my apartment is baking in the July heat, and the ------- swamp cooler isn't working.
Normally, I'm a satisfied resident. Although the neighborhood has begun to turn to ----, and all of the so-called "security gates" are now lock-free or broken, it's still not a bad place to live.
The landing outside my apartment is perpetually coated with birdshit an eighth of an inch thick, but it's nice to have these big trees to provide shade, birds to watch, and cats to watch (who are also watching the birds). It's usually quiet, and there's a nice pool--when it's not choked with leaves and ----. If you hear children at the pool, playing and shouting in Spanish, forget it. You might as well just jump into a bathtub full of cold piss.
Enjoy Highland Gardens soon, before they tear it down to build condos like they're doing with the Highland property across the street. Rest assured that they'll kick you to the curb in a heartbeat for a better profit margin.
