They're in the business of ripping off customers

My complaint is in regards to the Virginia, Newport News property on Jefferson ave.
Upon our arrival my fiance and I were treated like inmates, handed a set of rules that seemed impossible to follow, told 2 towels a week were all we needed, and sent to our filthy room which they charged us over $1000/mo for. We were afraid to touch anything and were told we couldn't open a window or the curtains (we were on the 2nd floor). We'd had enough of the desk clerk's constant rudeness and decided to go elsewhere. We gave our 24hr notice, which was conveniently lost so they could keep our deposit. The clerk refused to give us a number for the corporate office, or even the name & office number for someone in upper management.
They're rude & offensive, the rooms are rundown, filthy, and horribly unsanitary (who knows what the stuff running down the walls by the bed was!), and worst of all... they are in the business to steal from their customers by way of throwing away the 24hr notices given to them.
For $1000/mo we could have lived down the road about 3 blocks in a luxury apartment.
Don't stay there. You'll be very sorry you did. SEk1KnECheF1ATXbXtrZ
