Slum lords From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 5/8/2006 Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2006   Lots of reasons but mostly they are glorified slum lords. Maintenance is often something you have to make arrangements and pay for yourself. Also they towed one of my cars from an illegally marked fire zone then turned around and claimed the towing company did it and wouldn't refund so they fired the towing company. Also the 60 notice is typical of slum lord arrangements. It is not clear what the penalties are when we moved out they said we where obligated to pay the full two months rent whether they found another tennent or not. IE they wanted to profite from the 60 notice scale.
