My roommate and I spent alot of time looking for an apartment and we felt that Jefferson on Central would be the best choice. However, that is not the case. The complex offers a business center with computer access (the computers dont work), fax machine (has not worked the whole time I have lived here) and copy machine (same as previous comment). The management teams have always been willing to let us go into their office to use their machines but we should not have to resort to that.

We live on the top floor on the corner and were horrified to receive a $350 electric bill (in the summer) even though the apartments are supposed to be energy efficient. Our air was constantly running at 75 only to find out from a maintenance man that it was 85 degrees in the apartment. After they fixed missing weatherstrips, fans, and fireplace (all of which should have been done before we moved in) our bills went down to $180 which I still feel is exorbant. Especially since we were still sweating in our apartment. The gate access to the 3rd avenue is usually broken and we had to have our carpet completely replaced since it was shedding ridiculously. It always took at least 3-4 phone calls to the management to get someone to fix something in the apartment. I will say that the maintenance men have been extremely helpful and nice. They definitely help the situation there.

Also, when we first signed our lease, we were offered a second parking space for $5 more per month . However the space was not available when we moved in. Fast forward to 7 months later and we still havent been notified on availablity.

Also, since we moved here in August, at least 3 cars have been stolen out of the parking garage. And recently, the mailboxes have been broken into.

The view of the city is very nice and the location is excellent. The grounds are also kept up very well and I think the Sat morning breakfasts are a nice touch (although I have never gone).

We have just had way too many problems here to want to stay. Although we were initially very excited about living here, we will not be renewing our lease k6tKKzmJrmATU2ap682S
