So, I moved down from out of state, to go to college, and sense there were no dorms, the school offered a colleget housing program. Emperian is one of the '5 star' complexes that houses some of the HTI students. Emperian rented the apartment to the school, and the school rented the apartment to me (and my roommates).
It may have just been becuase I was going through the school, but I ended up breaking lease and leaving after 6 months. The price for the two bedroom was outrageous (again, probably the schools fault).
The halways smelt like piss, and were constantly littered with debris. There is only one parking spot per apartment, and if there is no more room, you have to park on the 4th floor of the parking garage. I happened to have an appartment facing the back exit on the bottom floor-and let me tell you, if there WAS a policy about bass being off at a certian time, it was NOT enforced. The neighbors across the hall had a large drumset (and played badly), and the management didn't do anything when complaints were placed, about the noise. Half the time the code-in-gate was just left propped open, either broken or malfunctioning. I found myself having to park in the vacent lot behind the building more than once.
There were some good things though--
The clubhouse was really cool, they had a kitchenett, tv, pool table, and free access exercise room. The lawns were upkept, and neat, and the pool was almost always clean. Mataniance crew was just awesome-they were our go to boys.
For someone who was starting in a brand new city for the first time away from home, not knowing anyone or anything, it was good. For an apartment where you want to live...it sucked royal. uWDgQKY3Vkv8FKIsB8Ax
