I am a resident at La Palma and I have read all of the reviews that are posted and I have to say that I don't agree with any of them with the exception of "not a bad place considering"!

With regard to kids, yes they are here and yes they are a problem. However, HOW is this managements fault' I myself have complained to management regarding certain situations with kids and they have taken care of the situation to the best of their ability. The problem is the parents who don't care that their kids are destructive and running amuck!!!! This also goes for residents with pets. PLEASE PICK UP AFTER YOUR DARN DOGS!!!! If you are too damn lazy to pick up after them, then give them to someone who can! It IS NOT the responsibility of La Palma to clean up after anyone!!! PERIOD!!!! Doesn't anyone realize that this is their HOME!!!! Don't you take pride in your home and want it to be nice and beautiful. It is amazing to me that adults don't watch their kids, don't pick up after their pets, put their trash outside their front door instead of getting off their lazy butt and walking it to the dumpster yet they turn around and blame the management company for the problems and the property looking dirty!!!!

As far as the office staff goes, for the most part, I have been treated fairly. I have run into occassions where a leasing person can't help me or answer my questions or they give me an answer that the manager tells me was not correct. However, that will happen everywhere. As far as the gates go, I have a friend in property management and I know from dealing with her that NO APARTMENT COMMUNITY HAS SECURITY GATES or SECURITY OFFICERS! They are controlled access gates and courtesy patrol. Does the word COURTESY mean anything to anyone'''''

Here is my two cents . . worth it or not. Watch your kids, clean up after your pets, take out your trash, don't use your balcony rail for laundry (there are things called dryers for that) and this property would look and be a MUCH better place to live. You CAN'T and SHOULDN'T blame management for the stupidity of others!!! Additionally, I would venture to guess that most of the negative comments are coming from residents who don't get their way and want the world handed to them on a platter. GET A LIFE!!!!!

You must be comfortable with being so dumb AND living in Ghettoville. And it IS the Management's responsibility to enforce the rules with people who leave trash in front of their doors, or who don't pick up after their animals, or if the employees give incorrect info to you and if the gate doesn't work. You are not very bright are you? So go enjoy your Ghetto Community. You fit right in!
