Tuscany Cove used to be an excellent place to live.
Used to be, until the new management took over. Their first order of business was to repaint all of the buildings in this garrish scheme of burnt orange, urine yellow, and baby poo green. If that wasn't enough to disturb the sensibilities of it's residences, the apartment contracted out to a local towing company. If your car is parked too long in an uncovered spot, if the tags are a month expired or your car looks less than asthetically pleasing, they will sticker it for towing one night, and tow it the next. It costs a small fortune to retrieve your car from the towing agency, and they're none too pleasant to deal with.
Speaking of difficulties in dealing with staff, the apartment staff is the worst that I've dealt with in all of my years of renting. From the moment you walk into the office they are on the defensive, they're rude, reactionary, and completely unpleasant. They roll eyes, they belittle, and will bleed you for every cent they can.
I recieved random mystery charges for a phantom pet that I didn't own, I was quoted a renewal offer two hundred dollars less than the actual renewal over the phone, when I went in to renew the management had no idea who I talked to or what was going on. They wanted to sign me up for the 200 dollars more, or make be pay month to month at $942 dollars because if I decided to leave I had failed to give 30 days notice. 4 months after moving I'm recieving a collection agency notice for 400 bucks worth of repainting and carpet cleaning. I left the place immaculate and lived there for almost two years. This is normal wear and tear and should be unchargable. Furthermore, the apartment never attempted to contact me regarding the charges, they simply sent it to collections.
Since the new management moved in there's been a price hike of near 20%, when asked for an explanation of the price increase the rude manager expressed that their pricing was, "On par with any modern luxury apartment complex". La Serena at Toscana is not a "luxury apartment complex". Things aren't particuarly safe there either, on two occaions while living there there has been an attempted theft on my motorcycle. Both times the "roving" security saw and reported nothing.
The complex is not safe, the staff is the rudest I've ever experienced, the price is far too high, and the cable company (convergent, you can't get cox there) is downright awful too. Do not move here, whatever you do. It used to be a nice place to live.

My fiend has lived there for 8 months now. His rent changed because he was getting a discount when he first moved in. I'm moving in 2 weeks from now and the staff has been nothing but helpful to me and my friend while he's been there. Why not have the everyone paying the same price for rent? If my rent is a certain amount, why shouldn't yours be the same? Prices go up, get use to it. Sounds as if they're a bunch of cry babies there. Hopefully you'll move before I move in.
