Backing up Management Co. not owner From: SecretSpy4100 Date posted: 3/4/2006 Years at this apartment: 2006 - 2006 1 response   I want to clarify ONE thing to everyone reading and writing these summarys re: La Serena at Toscana Apartments. A new owner took over the property in the summer of 2005. The employees that work in the office are the owners employees in which the owner made (Dunlap and Magee hire them on board there). The owner is responsible for landscaping, painting colors, rent increase and other STUPID $%&# on this property. This is NOT and I repeat NOT a typical Dunlap and Magee property. Dunlap and Magee is a Fee Mgmt Company that has several different properties in their portfolio along with SERVERAL different owners. THe leases and co-insiding paperwork are standard Dunlap and Magee forms. The way things are ran and the rudeness is not typical of Dunlap and Magee properties. The rate increases without concessions for renewals is the owners policy. Not Dunlap and Magee. I used to rent at a Dunlap and Magee property and it was the BEST placed I ever lived! I am in property magmt and I know that Dunlap and Magee is FEE managed meaning sereval properties and sereval owners in there portfolio. Every management company is different; but please keep in mind that the HELL you are all dealing with is STRAIGHT from the owner and NOT from Dunlap and Magee.
