The overall look and feel of the place is nice but don't let that fool you. One thing that I hated the most was the cheap carpet and tile, just "horrible". They both get staind and damaged quickly, I had weird stainds on my tile that I have no idea where they came from. My apartment was once infested with cockroaches not as many when I left though, termites were also becoming a problem as well. The apartment complex is a gated community "which is good" but the area is just bad, crack heads, prostitutes, drugs, and crime seem to be all over the area. I have just about seen everything out my apartment window. Just to make things worse the "city" will throw the child molesters/criminals in the area don't worry though, you will get a notice in the mail who the man/person is and what area he is living in. Once I got five of them in the mail in one day.

Thanks for the info. We'll be in Phoenix in less than a month and hope the place we will stay is NOT in this area.
