Mediocre at best

The Mandarina Apartments looks very nice based on a quick drive by. Upon perusing the property however, it is quickly obvious that the "grounds" consist of nothing more than minimal spacing between buiildings and parking is a joke (if you plan to have guests, you might consider carpooling).
The only reason anyone would want to live in this complex is proximity to work or school. Other than that, the area has nothing special to offer (the closest stores are a 10 minute drive away). The airport is fairly close, so that's a minor plus. As far as safety, I recall more than a few times the police showing up on the grounds. The community is gated, but that only offers an illusion of security. As far as amenities, the pool was nothing special and the workout room was no bigger than the living room of a one bedroom apartment.
In the year that I lived there, the complex was never totally full (they were always offering move in specials). This may be from the explosion in the home buying market or the fact that there is very little to distinguish this place from any other run of the mill complex. The only positive about the complex is it is relatively new (2002), but that won't be true forever.
