I've been here for two months...
and this is what I've had to deal with.
1.
Stained carpet, didn't bother replacing it before I moved in.
2.
A burn on the countertops the shape of an iron.
3.
All windows were filthy on move in date (from the outside).
4.
Water pipes run between the bedroom and bathroom...
good luck sleeping becuase I've been fortunate enough to have noisy pipes.
The apartment can't do anything about it.
5.
Ever seen a large cockroach before' I hadn't before I moved here.
6.
And just now...
two months into my lease...
ant infestation in the kitchen.
I'm thinking of calling the corporate office to let me out of my lease.
This has been a horrible experience.

Thanks very much for your detailed response. It really helps me since I am moving from Texas. I will try to see the apartment before we move in! I am sorry it didn't work out for you, we have had a TON of problems with our apt in Texas and don't want to walk back into any issues. Again, I really do appreciate your time responding to me!! Do you golf at all? Have you checked out the course?

That was part of the deal closer for me. They give a 20% off tee times (golfnow.com has larger discounts though) but it's nice and fairly difficult. It's not in the greatest shape but I've only been playing in summer and it's pretty hard to keep courses in good condition in 115 degree weather. It's $15 for the driving range which is a little high. GPS in the carts which is always helpful.
