no protection of mail, no protection of vehicles behind vehicle gate that rarely works. Poor communictaion between management and rentor in reference to problems within complex. Failed to take immediate action when problems arose waited weeks before applying leaflets to aprise tenants of existing dangers inside complex. Would never rent from them again.

I successfully completed my one year lease in March 2007 at the Mirador. Over two years later, I was contacted by a collection agency wanting almost $600 for damaged carpet. My dog had damaged the carpet and I reported it to the Mirador office before I moved and they sent their carpet person to give a written estimate of the damage, which was $85 (and on the carpet company's letterhead). I was told they could patch a piece of carpet into the carpet and that it was something they do all the time. Also this did not appear on my credit report until May 2007 (and I moved in March 2005). So my concern with management was that they had my forwarding address and phone number and my references' phone numbers and addresses and not once tried to contact me about this matter. My lease expired on a Sunday so the Mirador said they could not do a walk thru and to just put the keys in the overnight slot by midnight Sunday or else I would be penalized with an extra month's rent. I was told that they would subtract the damage from my deposit. So when vacating the Mirador demand a walk thru when you move out and get a statement in writing that there are no damages.
