My husband and I moved here from Oregon. We have a 2 year old daughter, and one on the way. I am suffering from Multiple Sclerosis, so I requested a ground floor. I put my holding deposit down for a ground floor. They also told me I was going to pay no deposit. Well, 2 weeks later, I call to make sure everything is on track, and Wendy, the leasing manager at the time (she is no longer with the company, and after this you will probably see why!) told me that I was ONLY to talk to her, and that I was getting a 3rd floor because their 1st floor needed new carpets, and it wouldn't be ready in time, and that I was going to have to pay a full month's rent as a deposit. Well, I contested that. Paul, the AWESOME manager (he now works at the Pointe Apartments, where I am moving to in 3 weeks) gave me a 200 dollar deposit. We were ok with that. Well, we drove down here, and was in the car for 2 days (with my toddler). We were sitting down to sign the lease, and Wendy, told my 19 month old (at that time) to sit down and shut up. I was furious. So, we ended up in the 3rd floor apartment. After telling Paul about this, he gave our family a 75 dollar gift card to Island's for our inconvenience, and apologized. Then Wendy was gone a few weeks later. Other than that rocky start, this is a nice apartment. The company they bought it from half-assed the apartments, so you WILL have maintenance calls. But that's because of the old property management. The staff is VERY prompt about getting maintenance calls done immediately. My only real complaint is the fact that people FLY through this parking lot, and it has a TON of blind corners in the back part. So watch out there. These have brand New appliances, and they cabinets are greatly build. Oh, and the roman soaking tub, I will miss that! I would definately say that if you DO NOT have a child move in here. It's not too kid friendly.
