Gates have the illusion of security

MonteVerde provided escape for me from the "joys" of dorm life for ASU. Thrilled that I had found a "safe" complex, I am less than impressed. For the amount of people that live in the complex, a "safety patrol" is not enough. Our apartment was broken into, presumably by one of our own members of the community. The walls are so thin, you can hear people in the apartment above you as they walk from their rooms to their kitchen. Parking is an absolute nightmare, and the gate that "protects" us at night, may as well be tissue paper; I have seen more than one person I KNOW doesn't live in the community on the property.
