I moved to Monte Verde July 1st of 2005 because I was sold on the attractiveness of the property and it's close proximity to my work. Problems with noise arrose on my first night there. The back pool was being left open all night as party central all night long and I had a third floor view of all the action. It took three months of complaining and seven middle of the night calls to the "security patrol" which was never seen before management finally starting closing the pool at 10pm. I was forced to put up with my neighbor next door slamming their front door every time they came and went for nine months inspite of my many complaints to management, before something was done about it. The layout of the buildings lends itself beautifully to amplifying and bouncing sound, so imagine screaming kids, slamming doors and countless barking dogs in a box canyon. Not fun. And speaking of dogs, there is dog ---- everywhere you look, in spite of the posted signs and complimentary potty bags aroung the complex. There have been shots fired in the complex and dozens of car breakins and even thefts. A very large and increasing portion of the complexes population is becoming very unsavory. New management was brought in a couple of months ago, and to this day, I have not seen one of them around the complex. People are moving out right and left. If you are even considering moving to this property and you car about where you live and the quality of your neighbors, DO NOT even consider moving into Monte Verde.
