Back in December, my boyfriend and I decided to pop into Monte Viejo just to look around; think we'd never be able to afford teh place. My were we surprised. Jonel (our leasing agent) was awesome and worked a great deal for us. Granted, the smallest two bedroom was too expensive for the two of us, so we had to get a third roommate; but I love it here.
I'll get the bad stuff out of the way first so I can finish with all the great stuff. Ok, the apartments are VERY small. Our's is a 2bd/1ba and only 695 sq ft. The parking is a joke. Each unit comes with only one space and we're like a mile from overflow. That really sucks when you have three cars to park. Noise from the freeway is kinda bad, but bearable. The worst has been our scorpion investation. Nothing but a pain in the a$$ from move in.
With those few things aside, now for the good stuff. The location is perfect. The complex is always fairly quiet, clean, and secure. The residents are always kind and seem to always have a smile on their face. Security is very polite, and the management will bend over backwards for you at any time (especially with the scorpion situation). Our leasing agent still calls just to say hi even though she transferred to another complex. The facilities are better than any other complex I've seen. Even though our apartment is tiny, it's cozy and feels new and clean. I couldn't imagine a better and nicer place to live in the area and I feel great being able to live in such a nice place my first time being out my own. I love living at Monte Viejo. The worst is that my boyfriend and I might have to move when our lease is up so he can be closer to school. I would hate to have to do that. I would (and do) recommend Monte Viejo to everyone. It's awesome!
