When I moved in, the apartment was extremely dirty, with chunks of dog feces dried permanently into the deck. I've had to purchase door handles just so that I could have something to open my washer/dryer door with -- because they apparently forgot my repeated requests.
All in all, the actual apartment wasn't so bad. What is bad is that I have to watch my back like a hawk everytime I leave the premises. Many shady characters.
I've had two or three drug dealers that have lived in my building as well. I have come home many times to find various jittery teenagers waiting for someone to come home.
The biggest reason that I'm moving is that someone who currently lives in the community is setting cats on fire. Several were found in the vicinity in the month of October 2002, and luckily I got to my cat in time. She had lighter fluid all over her, and her neck was smoking. I believe that someone in my building did this because it was very close to my third story apartment. That night I decided to move, and rented another apartment within five days.
Unless you're already into illegal activities, go elsewhere.
