I wish I had of known of this site previously, but I lived at Mountain View Casitas for about 3 months short of a year. Initially, I LOVED my apartment, I felt safe and comfortable. Lovely apartment, 2 bedrooms, 2 baths. There were 2 walk in closests in the master bedroom alone plus 2 fireplaces,, w/washer and dryer in unit. Well, I had no complaints until about April of 2004 when one of the maintainence men told me how he had been stalking and watching me since he had seen me the first time. I was leaving out of town that same day...it made me nervous but not really afraid. I didn't get afraid until I returned home to realize someone had been in my apartment while I was gone. No, I was not being paranoid either. I know for certain he came into my apartment. I complained to management who told me I needed to file a police report first. After doing so, they told me there was nothing they would be able to do about it because I had no proof and he denied it. I simply asked if they could let me out of my lease (I had about 3 months left) because I felt threatened and unsafe in my apartment. They refused and quite rudely too I might add. My phone calls were never returned not even from the headquarters, which I will have to look up their name again, because I wouldn't recommend moving into any apartments managed by these people. The bottom line is...after hell and high water, they told me I could move to another property they managed but I would be completely responsible for all expenses meaning moving, another security deposit, and any difference in rent. At that point I asked, why not just transfer him' He's the cause of it all. That request was ignored as well as every simple request I made. I ended up staying nights with a friend because I felt unsafe there and I finally just moved without "their permission". Then they took me to court...lol. Which I am in the process of fighting right now. They do not care about the tenants and management, from the low level to the headquarters, is very rude and insensitive.
