When I moved in I was supposed to have a washer and dryer in the unit by move in date. It took a week to finally get it and then they were damaged units in keeping with the appliances in the unit. the complex boast beautiful stainless appliances and such and what they are is a bunch of scratch and dents from Spencer's. The maintenance guys are rather unsavory types to put it mildly! I finally stopped having them co0me to fix things because i really didn't want them in my apartment with my nice things. It too three and a half months to fix a broken step on my stairs the whole stair way is wobbly and we are waiting for something to collapse. The neighbors are a bunch of punks and characters you would expect to see on Jerry Springer. They are young kids in their twenties sharing the rent three to four of them NOISY forget about sleep or relaxation! These guys in several apts call out to women passing by which makes one feel really comfortable since we just had women raped here in the complex at their parking spaces!The suspect is a tenant himself and our big question is WHY IS HE still here!'!!! IT IS FRIGHTENING TO LEAVE THE HOUSE BEFORE SUNRISE OR AFTER SUNSET!I moved in here because the higher rents usually keep out the bad elements. The places seemed elegant with the granite counters, and track lighting. problem is use too many appliances at once and POOF! your fuse box blows! When I use certain appliances the plug actually get burning hot. I have had four blow dryers go in nine mos. It was the plug not the dryer. My water heater was shutting down and the breaker had to be flipped. this went on for the first 2 months of living here. I would wake up to go to work and find cold water coming from the shower. Finally the maintenance guy said it's the wiring it is not made to handle the upgraded lighting and appliances. Oh well what a comfort!!!!! I'm living in a friggin fire hazard! He turned the water heater temp waaaay up and now we have hot water. Also we have a high bill.Oh did I mention the lea in the water heater from the top pipes' Still not fixed after six months. Many of the switchplate and plug outlet covers are hanging on by a thread because they were the wrong size but were left on anyway. the tiles in the bathroom showers were shoddily painted over and peeled before I ever got here! My doors wouldn't open or close without being a linebacker for the Bears. They after many complaints took the doors sawed the bottom off and replaced them on their hinges. The paint is now peeling off.I'm sure they will try to blame these issues on us when we move out. This place is seriously a nightmare! Thank God I chose not to buy. I could go on for pages and we need to all file a class action lawsuit!Places like this who behave like slumlords, and who rent to any scum who will pay in order to fulfill their desperate need to occupy their hell holes making those who rented looking for a safe clean place to live should pay for real human being's relocation.
