*When you fill out your application they ask about your vehicles, they say they dont want any "unsightly" vehicles at their complex. If you dont have a nice paint job, you cant have your vehicle there! What a crock!
*The management advises if you see something that someone is doing wrong, follow them to their apt and call the office with their apt number and they will "take care of it and fine the people."
*I was falsely accused by a neighbor that I didnt pick up after my dog at the public park across the street, I got a notice from the management. I had to yell at them that it wasnt true, but they told me that someone followed me all the way home to get the apt number at 5am in the dark!!!
*Scorpions just started coming out, one in the apartment, one outside the front door within a 3 day period. They came in and sprayed for scorpions (must be on Wednesday or they wont do it). A few months prior to that, they sprayed for all of the other bugs we have including small brown biting bugs and roaches. The pest people even get a key to your apartment!
*The apartment has a very distinctive cat urine smell of which apartment management doesnt smell due to wearing too much perfume and smoke she is walking around with. They said that in order for us to have something done about the carpet, we need to close the apt up and make it smell again. They already had 2 maintenance men come and smell it and confirmed that it stunk, but it isnt good enough (it needs to be smelled on a weekday too!). We have been arguing over the carpet since January and the only thing they offered to do is clean it, which I took them up on, but the smell is back! There were stains in the carpet and it was damp when I moved in! And they are trying to convince me that I had brand new carpet when I moved in and that my dog made the odor!
Feral Cats are all over the property, leaving behind pigeon bodies, feathers, cat feces, disease and they even urinate on your patio. Apt management says that they would like to move the cats, not sterilize them and return them to the complex, so they arent doing anything. They want them to keep breeding'''' The courtyard I am in has seen 4 litters since October 2002. The cats use the dirt in front of the patios as a litterbox so you cant even open your windows for fresh air. The neighbors leave food and water for the cats, why would they leave'
*The grounds have many trash recepticles on the grounds, unfortunately, they only empty them once a week if we are lucky! In the heat things are rotting in the trash and smelling up the courtyards!
*Dont put too much in any of the kitchen or bathroom drawers, they are so cheaply put together. Mine have fallen off the tracks and the wood holding the drawers up falls to the floor. Then someone comes to fix it with glue...'
*One of the bathrooms had 6 tiles fall out of the shower and they wouldnt fix it on a weekend, instead you have to let them in on a weekday. (Dont trust their maintenance - BE THERE WHEN THEY ARE "FIXING" THINGS!!!") A month later, the tiles are falling out again!
*This complex looks nice from the outside, but when you live there you notice the problems are everywhere!
*Think twice, move somewhere else!
*Even the parking; people ding your doors all of the time, so much for a new car. When you move in you are told that you can pay for another covered or uncovered parking space to always make sure you have a spot. But when you want to pay for another space, "Sorry, we dont rent uncovered spaces out."
This sucks.
